Your mission, should you choose to accept it.

Read ahead, this message will self destruct in a few seconds!

Six years ago today, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. Most of you know that, and you may have read some of my blogs about all I have been through since.

For a long time, I wanted to write about all the nitty gritty details of all I was experiencing to educate others about what breast cancer really looks like. It’s why I called my blog ‘Raw and Completely Beautiful’ because I believe that by being honest and open is healing, for everyone.

However, something changed in me after my treatment finished and I stopped writing after I told the world about chemo.

To cut a long story short, I shifted from survival mode and made the decision to thrive. I intensely, and intentionally, focused on my own healing. Body, mind and soul.

I gave myself permission to put my health and wellbeing first.

Then something interesting happened. My passion in life emerged, to write. My purpose revealed itself, and I studied to teach others how to put their own health and wellbeing first.

I, became my mission, which then led me to discover my mission to create change in the world, one beautiful woman at a time. And it’s happening.

Trauma, whether it be major illness or otherwise, is lots of things but it’s also an opportunity.

It’s a chance for you to go within, seek the lessons and create transformation. Regardless of what your circumstances are, you always have the choice to focus on your wellness and there are always little things to be grateful for, which then improves your wellness. Then you rinse and repeat.

I’m not going to delve into the science of happiness and gratitude in this blog, but just know this.. If you choose to prioritise your mindset as part of your healing in life you will exponentially create a shift towards joy.

And all we really want is to be happy, right?

So, take this as your assignment, delivered in a little metal tube by a drone that has travelled thousands of miles and has found your secret location.

Your mission, is you.

Five.. four.. three.. two.. one.. BOOM!

See you on the other side, as we watch the sunset on a tropical island somewhere sipping on a Pina Colada.

Love, Ali x

This is me... I have been through a journey of much adversity in life. It has bent me, shaped me, cut me, hurt me and kicked me. But it has also encouraged me to learn, grow, change and rise like a Phoenix. I am stepping into my light, it is time. It is my hope that some of you may be able to relate, and in some way can take hope from my words for your own experience. We all have a lot to love about ourselves, each other and our universe...
